Toshiba Corporation Winds Down US, Canada, and Mexico Telecom Divisions

Dear Valued Client;

As your trusted advisor, it is our responsibility to proactively communicate with you when events take place in the business technology community. We have received a letter this past week from Toshiba Telecommunications Systems Division informing the dealer network that "Toshiba Corporation has deemed it necessary to wind down it's US, Canada and Mexico Telecom divisions as part of its global restructure." This was surprising news across the entire industry. I am writing to assure you that we will still be able to offer the same level of support for your Toshiba product that you have experienced over the past years.

Toshiba's announcement means that effective May 22, 2017, Toshiba will stop proactively selling and advancing their product lines, but they are going to stay operational for client support. They have communicated to us directly that they will remain active to support their dealer network, honoring all warranty and maintenance obligations and will have spare parts and licenses available for our clients. In addition, they will continue to support ATS with tech support and warranty replacement parts. This means Toshiba will continue to be operational for support for at least five years!

ATS anticipates you will experience little to no effect in our support capabilities. We have the expertise and resources to continue to support your system for years to come. We are making our partner plan clients our top priority and are taking measures to ensure we will continue to meet our commitments for support and parts. We anticipate that you will be notified by others implying that you must change your Toshiba system. This is a sales tactic by competitors which can be disregarded.

While our partnership with Toshiba has spanned over 25 years and we are surprised by their announcement, in our 43 years in the industry we have experienced similar transitions and successfully helped our clients. As your partner, our philosophy continues to be to offer technology solutions in a consultative manner that meet the functional and financial needs of your business.
