Carrier Advisory!

ATS Disaster Recovery

ATS Communications is receiving several reports of customers experiencing carrier service outages due to the recent heavy and damaging rainfall in the Northern California Region. Based on the weekly weather forecast, a stronger storm is still expected this week. Recent flooding has caused some of the major carrier service providers who service the Northern California region (AT&T, and Verizon) to issue a warning statement about the damages which will continue to occur amongst their voice infrastructures. Below are the warning statements issued today by both AT&T and Verizon:

AT&T Update

"Worse than yesterday. We are 800% above normal workload with over 5 inches in rains in most areas in CA. The worst of the storm is to hit tonight. We have mandatory overtime called through the week, the hard part is, manholes are flooded so we can't even access them to fix the circuits."

Verizon Update

"We are impacted by the heavy rain and by mudslides in the state. Center load levels have reached over 400% with a large volume of pending dispatches as well. Currently, we are prioritizing tickets with medical facility/TSP types being first to be addressed."

If you are in an effected area please be prepared for potential service disruption.
