October is Cybersecurity Awareness Month, marking its 21st year. Join us in prioritizing online safety with weekly tips throughout the month. It's a collective effort, and by adopting daily cybersecurity habits, we can all become #cybersmart!

Embracing Cybersecurity:
21 Years Strong, Stay #CyberSmart

STRONG PASSWORDS & UPDATED SOFTWARE, Week 1 - Strong passwords and updated software are your first line of defense against cyber threats. Create passwords that are unique, long, and complex and avoid using easily guessable information like birthdays. Regularly update your passwords and and software to keep systems secure. MULTIFACTOR AUTHENTICATION, Week 2 - MFA is your shield against unauthorized access. By adding an extra layer of security, MFA ensures that even if someone knows your password, they can't get in without your approval. Whether itis a text message, a fingerprint, or a token, MFA keeps your accounts and data safe. THE SLAM METHOD, Week 3 - Be wary of unsolicited messages, especially if they ask for personal information, passwords, or financial details. Always check the Sender, Links, Attachments, and the Message for inconsistency's. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE, Week 4 - AI is a powerful tool, but it also presents new cybersecurity challenges. When using A1, ensure data protection by implementing strong encryption and access controls. Regularly update AI systems to patch vulnerabilities and guard against evolving threats. Education on AI can promote a culture of vigilance and best practices.
