ATS Your Business Technology Partner
Cybersecurity padlock concept.

Dear Valued Client,

At ATS, we continually evaluate emerging cybersecurity threats and add protections that help safeguard your business.

Because identity-based attacks against Microsoft 365 accounts continue to rapidly grow, ATS is adding advanced Identity Threat Detection and Response (ITDR) technology to our managed security services.

Why We Are Adding ITDR Protection?

Cybercriminals are increasingly targeting user identities, passwords, and Microsoft 365 accounts instead of only attacking traditional network devices and systems. These threats can be especially difficult to identify with traditional security measures because the activity may appear to come from a trusted user account rather than an outside attacker.

Once an account is compromised, attackers may access email, sensitive data, financial information, and internal communications while appearing to be a legitimate user.

ITDR provides an added layer of protection by identifying suspicious account activity, detecting possible compromises, and helping respond quickly before unauthorized access creates business disruption.

We strongly believe in this ITDR technology because it works in real time. It identifies identity-based threats quickly and initiates immediate remediation and stops an attack before it can spread. This protection is now an essential part of a modern cybersecurity strategy, helping safeguard your users, email systems, and company data.

What's Changing?

Over the past year, ATS has seen multiple local businesses experience breaches involving compromised accounts. These incidents reinforce that ITDR is becoming a baseline security measure in today's cloud environment. As a result, ATS is taking a proactive approach. Beginning September 1, 2026, ATS will add ITDR protection for all active Microsoft licensed users. This protection will appear on your existing managed services agreement as Pro-IT Security - ITDR.

The cost for this enhanced protection will be $4.00 per Microsoft licensed user per month.

We believe this is a modest investment compared to the disruption, financial loss, and reputational damage that can result from a compromised Microsoft 365 account. ITDR is also becoming increasingly important for cyber insurance and compliance requirements.

Opt-Out Option

While we strongly recommend this added protection, participation is optional.

If you choose not to add this protection to your agreement, please notify your ATS Account Advisor in writing prior to August 31, 2026, and we will remove the service from your account.

Join Us to Learn More

We invite you to join ATS for an upcoming webinar designed to help you better understand ITDR technology and the important role it plays in protecting your users, Microsoft 365 accounts, and company data. We will discuss today's evolving identity-based threats, explain why this added protection matters, and introduce the ITDR security platform we are adding to help strengthen your environment. A separate registration invitation will be sent in the coming weeks.
